Frankie H. Pollock Jr.             FPJ Consulting               Founder

 

Mr. Frankie Pollock Jr. serves as the assistant principal of DC Virgo Preparatory Academy located in Wilmington, NC. Mr. Pollock is a native of Wilmington, NC and has spent most of his youth as a member of the Community Boys and Girls club where he participated in numerous activities mainly the “Drum and Drill Team”. Mr. Pollock owes his level of dedication and discipline to the lessons he learned as a youth in Wilmington, NC.  Mr. Pollock served the Wilmington community as a youth leader with his musical abilities, and outreach activities with different organizations. “Mr. P”, as his students affectionately call him was inspired to begin a career in music education as he witnessed high school and college band performances. Mr. Pollock graduated from New Hanover High School in 1996, and left to complete his B.A. in music education at Norfolk State University, Norfolk, VA. Mr. Pollock served as a public school band director and music teacher in many areas including Norfolk, VA, Harrisburg, PA, and Charlotte, NC where he was also appointed the Assistant Director of Bands at Johnson C. Smith University. Mr. Pollock transitioned into the area of school leadership in 2011, and served as a Dean of Students in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school district. He continued to inspire students with the relationships he built with the students, and families of the area. Mr. Pollock moved back to Wilmington, NC in the summer of 2013 after accepting the position of Assistant Principal at DC Virgo Preparatory Academy, which is also the middle school Mr. Pollock attended.

 

Mr. Pollock's mission is to motivate and inspire the youth of Wilmington, NC to strive for excellence through positive activities and proper support. He is working tirelessly to implement events in the community that will impact the lives of young people. Mr. Pollock began FPJ Consulting, which is a business that focuses on the implementation of quality events geared towards the development of the community. Mr. Pollock hopes that his ideas and influence will allow him to use his story to uplift the community and youth that he serves.
